FGL Shenzhen Team Embraces Spring with Two-Day Hiking and Beach Bonfire Retreat

April 15, 2026

As spring blossoms painted the hills in vibrant colors, FGL’s Shenzhen office traded cubicles for clifftops and conference calls for campfire songs. Led by the office’s team leader, the staff embarked on a two-day retreat from March 21 to 22, combining mountain hiking with a seaside bonfire to recharge and reconnect with nature.

The first stop was Luofu Mountain, a Taoist sacred site located in Huizhou City, about 120 kilometers from FGL’s Shenzhen branch. Rising to 1,296 meters above sea level and spanning over 250 kilometers, Luofu is revered as one of the ten great “dongtian” (cave heavens) of Taoism. With the help of a cable car, the team completed the ascent in just four hours. “Nature has a magic way of blowing away worries,” one participant shared. “The fresh air and quiet trails calmed our nervous minds instantly.”

After descending, the team headed to the beach for an evening of barbecue and bonding. Before the bonfire, two team-building games were held: “Tower Building with Mats,” challenging groups to construct the highest free-standing structure, and “Poker Order Reappear,” a memory and coordination race. Both activities demanded close collaboration, offering a refreshing break from daily work routines while strengthening interpersonal trust.

Over its 26-year history, FGL has regularly organized outings and celebrations as a gesture of gratitude to its employees. “Every team member’s dedication across different roles keeps the company running decade after decade,” a company spokesperson said. “These retreats are our way of saying thank you.”

The spring hike and bonfire night not only lifted spirits but also reinforced the value of unity — proving that sometimes the best office is the great outdoors.
