SHENZHEN, CHINA – August 11, 2026 – Shenzhen Focus Global Logistics Corporation (FGL) had successfully completed a challenging DDU door-to-door project for a major client in Thailand’s Rayong province. The project, executed throughout 2026, involved the systematic delivery of over 200 specialized containers, including 40FR flat racks, open-tops, and standard high-cube units, from Guangdong’s Pearl River Delta to the project site in Thailand.  The scope of the operation comprised three large-scale batches, each presenting unique logistical hurdles. The shipments included multiple out-of-gauge (OOG) and heavy-lift items such as die-casting machines and furnaces, with individual pieces reaching up to 4.1 meters in width, 4.2 meters in height, and weighing as much as 43.5 metric tons. Specific batch compositions included: • Batch 1: 2x40FR (OWOH) + 6x40HQ • Batch 2: 2x40FR (OWOH) + 3x40FR (OW) + 2x40OQ (IG) + 5x40HQ • Batch 3: 2x40FR (OW) + 1x20OT (OH) + 6x40OQ (IG) + 6x40HQ + 3xBBK Overcoming Core Challenges The project was defined by significant obstacles that tested FGL’s operational expertise. The primary challenge was securing substantial vessel space during a period of tight capacity on the route. With each batch containing over 20 specialized containers—including numerous heavy and oversized flat racks—the demand for continuous, back-to-back space allocation was immense. Further complexity arose from the nature of the cargo itself. The overweight and dimensionally challenging pieces required specialized stowage and lifting plans. Given the irregular lifting points on the machinery, FGL’s engineering team engaged in extensive negotiations with both shipping lines and terminal operators to design and approve custom lashing and lifting schemes, ensuring safe handling during the vessel’s breakbulk-style operations. Comprehensive Three-Stage Solution Leveraging its extensive industry relationships and technical know-how, FGL designed a robust multimodal transport solution: • Stage A (Pre-carriage): Efficient collection and consolidation of cargo from various manufacturing bases in the Guangdong Pearl River Delta to the ports of Nansha and Shekou. • Stage B (Ocean Freight): Successful transportation of all cargo from South China to Laem Chabang Port, Thailand, navigating capacity constraints through strategic negotiations to secure necessary space and competitive rates without compromising delivery timelines. • Stage C (Destination Services): Close coordination with FGL’s trusted agent network in Thailand to manage BOI customs clearance, arrange concentrated delivery schedules as required by the consignee, and secure sufficient trucking capacity for the final overland transit from Laem Chabang to the project site in Rayong. Project Outcome The multi-batch operation was executed with zero cargo damage and strict adherence to the client’s delivery schedule.
