On July 15, 2025, Focus Global Logistics (FGL) successfully executed the transportation of specialized BBK cargo from Shanghai, China, to the remote OKI port in Indonesia. This shipment, delivered under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) terms, highlights FGL’s expertise in managing complex international logistics operations to challenging destinations.
Transportation: Sea freight
Term:DDU
POL:Shanghai, China
POD:Singapore
Place of Delivery: OKI, Indonesia
Transport Type: Container Ship
T/T: 12 Days
Time: July 15, 2025
The journey began at the Port of Shanghai (POL), one of the world’s busiest container ports. Due to the remote location of OKI, Indonesia, large container vessels are unable to dock directly, presenting a significant logistical challenge. To overcome this, FGL implemented a smart, two-phase transportation strategy. First, the cargo was shipped via container vessel to Singapore (POD), a major regional maritime hub with excellent connectivity. Upon arrival in Singapore, the containers were transferred to a barge for the final leg of the journey to the OKI port.
This ocean freight combined with barge solution ensured seamless transit despite the lack of direct container shipping services to OKI. The total transit time (T/T) was 12 days, meeting the scheduled delivery window and demonstrating FGL’s operational efficiency. The use of specialized containers further ensured the integrity and safety of the cargo throughout the multi-modal journey.
This successful operation underscores the importance of adaptability and deep industry knowledge in global logistics. Remote or infrastructure-limited destinations require innovative approaches, and FGL’s experience in BBK engineering logistics and project cargo transportation proves invaluable in such scenarios.
With a proven track record of reliable execution and a commitment to on-time, secure delivery, Focus Global Logistics continues to provide tailored solutions for clients worldwide. Whether shipping to major ports or hard-to-reach locations, FGL delivers peace of mind, ensuring cargo reaches every corner of the globe—safely, punctually, and efficiently.
